This crib does not convert to a toddler bed, only into a day bed and full size bed. It is a good size, and seems very sturdy, although I have not had it very long. Walmart failed to get product to us in one piece!!Now that the crib is finished, I’m very happy with it. However, the parts of the crib were not marked as to what piece they were which made it very difficult to put together. For those looking to get the guardrail, here is there number 1-877-274-0271, they will need the Model # , Made by, and the Mfg date.. I would say say save $30 and order the less expensive gray crib which has a toddler rail you can purchase.the colour was beautiful. We were able to put the mattress on the highest setting and pin the crib skirt under the mattress to make it the proper height.
