This bed did come with the support bar needed to convert to bed, but the rail to protect toddler from rolling out of bed has to be purchased separately. , it seems to be sturdy, and we liked that it can change into a toddler bed. We are, do far, loving this purchase. However, parts were not labeled, so we had to use the pictures in the instructions which were not very detailed. Assembly instructions were not super simple, but were the crib took about an hour for one person to assemble. Great crib, simple looking and goes with any nursery decor. Overall, we still enjoy this productVery basic and simple crib.
